Going ReTrO~~~~~

I came home from work yesterday to find my kids wearing big silly looking glasses. They said that their Uncle Jeff gave them a box of old sunglasses. Boy did they ever have fun with these. They were trying them on and rolling over laughing at eachother. So I HAD to take some pictures...of course.

Talk about cheap entertainment!

They like these because they were the same, just different colors.

OOps...a little big for his face!

Posing!

His fav ones! Probably because daddy told him he looked like spiderman.

Goofball!

Thank You Uncle Jeff!

~The End Of Ballet Season~

To end and wrap up ballet this year they through a big student appreciation day. Bouncy house, slide, games, food, and they gave away an ipod. I totally forgot my camera....so here are a few pics of Madi & Mason's face paintings.

My Birthday...dun dun dun!

So I'm officially 28...WOW where did the time go? I remember when my mom was 28 and I thought she was sooooo old! It turned out to be a pretty great birthday. I got flowers, gifts, dinner, breakfast, and good weather....Oh and a free tan! (thanks tiki) For future reference you get to tan for free on your birthday. If you would have seen my desk with all the flowers this week, you would have thought I hit 30 or something...

Arden and I tried to take a good photo of us on my special day...it wasn't working...so we did a bad one!

Baptism

So yesterday I went on a looooong run. Mainly to clear my mind but also because our first family vacation is a month away. When I run for some reason my mind just feels settled when I'm done. I really should run more often. When I got back Madi and Mason were playing in the sprinkler and there little pool. I couldn't help myself, I jumped in clothes and all! Ohhh yea...phone too! So my phone has a mind of it's own now. Anyways while I was sitting in their pool cooling off Madi took a bucket of water and dumped it over Masons head and she said "I baptize you in the name of the father.." and then she took a second bucket of water dumped it over his head and said "In the name of the son..." and then Mason took off running and she chased after him with the third bucket of water and she threw it at him and shouted "And in the name of the holy spirit!!!" It was soooooooooo CUTE! She looked at me and said "What?? Mason baptized me too!" So I said to her, "Madi, would you like to be baptized?" And she replied with a very excited "YES!" I'm so proud of her. I asked her "Do you know what being baptized means?" and she said "Yea, it means that I love Jesus and God." So sweet!

My Little Ballerina

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day! Perfect weather for picture taking. So I decided to take Madi to the park and get some photos of her in her ballet recital outfit. She did really good. Even had some ideas for her pictures. I took 117 photos....ridiculous I know. I can't help myself when it comes to my children they are so beautiful and yes I'm bias.
We had a good time here are some of my favorites! Okay a lot of my favorites! If anyone knows what kind of flower those purple ones are...PLEASE let me know. I think they are so cool and Madi does too...obviously!

This is Madisons second year in ballet. Before that she did two years of gymnastics. It's about the only active thing I can get her to do. She does NOT like sports what-so-ever. She tried soccer for two years and hated it. Bummer.

Wise Guy

So Mason thought he was being funny................

And funny got him STUCK.....now who's laughing??

Miles + Baseball = One Proud Father!

Miles had his first game of the season. And even though he was only to be a back up pitcher, he was the starting pitcher of the very first game! Of course Arden was so proud because he did a little pitching in his day too.... I love going to watch him play but I REALLY don't understand the slang.

Like last year, I over heard Arden telling his brother that Miles was walked home. I was like "no he didn't, he RAN!" Yea...ha ha I don't know anything about baseball. Then last night I heard the coach say "pick your pitch" I was so confused. Well apparently he WAS talking to the batter....Arden just shook his head and smiled. I thought he was talking to the pitcher and I thought "duh, of course he's going to pick his pitch, he's the pitcher???" Well anyways, Madi and Mason got to spend some time playing with Makayla on the playground, which of course, was NOT long enough. We had a good time and are looking forward to a busy season!

Way to go Miles!! We love you buddy and are so proud of you!

Moms Day

Mothers day did not start out well. I woke up with a terrible migraine. But Arden made me feel better with his beautiful card and thoughful gift....oh and my breakfast in bed. Plus he let me sleep the day away and usually that helps when I get a headache. But not this time. When I did get up, there was a note on my bed that said "Go by the cowch!" So I walked out to the living room with my head throbbing.

The kids had wrote Happy Mothers Day in dominos. Plus they had cards and pictures they made for me. Madi made me coupons....clean the house, make my bed, clean the closet, let me rest, etc.....I was so excited to use my coupons! I told her, "I'm going to use clean the house and let mom rest!" She said "ok." Not as enthusastic as I was. Then I informed her that these coupons had no expiration date! Sweet!! lol Hey you've got to find the good when you're feeling bad...right?

Hammy

Two years ago my sister bought Madison a hamster for her birthday. At first I was a little angry because she didn't even ask us first. But I realized she just felt bad that the only animal Madi had ever had was a goldfish....many many goldfish. So we got over it. Fell in love with the little guy. Over the time we've had him he's gotton so big that he out grew 2 cages! He liked to eat. So we knew something was wrong when he stopped eating. He was acting really funny. So of couse I looked his "symptoms"  up on the internet and found out that he was dying of old age. Unbelievable! Two years...really? I guess if I had only two years to live I'd eat a lot too! So April this year Hammy passed away. I came home from work on a wednesday afternoon and there he was. I hurried up and put him in an old oshkosh shoe box before Madi came home. She had been crying for weeks just knowing that it could be any day. When she got off the school bus I told her and she actually handled it pretty well. She said "That's okay mom. I want Hammy to go to that place in heaven you were telling me about. And have a wife and little Hammy babies. He'll be much happier." I was so relieved. She wanted pictures to remember this day. So here are some pictures from Hammy's funeral.

RIP Hammy
